Daily Bonus is another modernization project within Praia Bingo. It’s a feature that already existed but needed visual and structural changes to match the app’s evolving design direction.
My role on this project was mainly in the early and final stages. First, I developed the core concept that would define the feature’s visual identity and interaction logic, which was then handed off to another artist for illustration. After that, I stepped in once again for the component creation and handoff to the programmers.
Beyond the design work
What made this project distinct was what happened after the concept phase.
When I joined the studio, there were no prototyping or interface design tools in use. Everything was created in Photoshop, and handoff relied on static PNG assets.
Drawing from my previous experience with interface design, I introduced a new workflow centered around Figma.
This involved training the team to build responsive components and supporting the implementation alongside developers.
It became a strong team effort that significantly improved the Art Department’s workflow and skill set.
