Ibiza is a new bingo machine launched within Praia Bingo, one of Brazil’s leading mobile bingo games. Set aboard a Mediterranean cruise ship headed to the party island of Ibiza, the machine introduces a dual mechanic: bingo on top, poker on the bottom. As players mark numbers on their cards, hidden poker cards are revealed and, depending on the hand formed, bonus prizes are awarded.
I was involved from the early concept stages through final delivery, contributing to both the UI and the art direction of the machine. I also created the Splash Art, the key visual used to introduce the machine to players.
Visual Direction
The brief called for a vibrant, high-energy aesthetic that captured the spirit of Ibiza nightlife while remaining readable and functional on mobile. We developed a visual language anchored in deep red and golden, to refer the elegance and the cassino culture around in the island.
We also brought to life the personality of Iza, a DJ dog who serves as the machine’s mascot.
The challenge was keeping the scene lively without competing with the UI elements that players need to read quickly during gameplay.
